OTU #112 - Teaching An Old Dog


In this episode, Steve goes back to graduate school as a "non-traditional" student, exploring the old adage about "teaching an old dog new tricks."

In a "Good Student" segment, Steve discusses a list of what new students should pack when leaving for college for the first time.

The "Question of Faith" segment tells the story of two Purdue University students who give free compliments to other students on campus. It's a great example of uplifting others.

Steve ends this episode with some CDC suggestions for avoiding the H1N1 "swine flu."

OTU #110 - We're On A Mission, Part 1


This is a special "On the Road" episode of OntheU. This episode is Part 1 of an audio diary kept by Steve and his nephew Eric while visiting the San Lucas Mission in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala.

The San Lucas Mission is operated by the Diocese of New Ulm in Minnesota. It offers a number of important programs to the people of San Lucas, including a medical clinic, parish school, reforestation project, woman's shelter, and a coffee collective.
